The Taste of Barcelona Tour

The Taste of Barcelona Tour is an easy way to discover the city and the food, the local vibes and the contemporary trends.

We start the tour in the heart of the city, right on its most famous avenue – Paseo de Gracia. We take a walk and cross three different districts of the city centre, each one with its own personality. During the tour we are revealing many of the icons and symbols of Barcelona, some of them hidden, some of them so evident that it’s very easy to miss them unless you book us.

Our tour is about food and local gastronomy but equally focused on design and lifestyle as we pass by and point you out emblematic architecture, original fashion stores and contemporary art galleries.

Overall we invite you to take a generous bite of Barcelona’s city culture!

As we like good coffee we bet you like it too. Excellent specialty coffee. That’s why we choose as our first stop an unconventional 3rd-wave coffee shop in Eixample, the bourgeois district of the centre.orbeax

Nito, our barista friend, is always happy to give us insights on origins, aromas, notes and various types of coffee, while drawing into our very fancy ones. We suggest at least one espresso-based drink or sharing a a fruit-flavoured Chemex or V60 filter coffees, est. at €3-8.

A bit hungry?

Let’s head for some pintxos. It will be our second stop: at a gourmet cuisine restaurant, we’re going to give ourselves the luxury to taste authentic Catalan, Basque and Asian flavours. We suggest one or two creative pintxos or tapas and one sangria per person, est. at €20-35.

Probably the most famous crafted beer of Barcelona is Moritz. Let’s have some, at the factory where it was originally brewed a century ago.

Now it’s a modern micro-brewery with beer museum and a restaurant. We always enjoy to have a couple of beers here with the most valued local tapas. We suggest one or two tapas per person and a draft beer, est. at €8-20.

We leave Sant Antoni district, and now we’re crossing Raval to head on to the market.

Ranked as world’s no. 1 markets by CNN, Boqueria is THE PLACE. We suggest various tapas, €6-22.

We only cross Las Ramblas to the sweetest street in Gothic Barcelona. The ultimate desserts here are chocolate and art. We suggest churros con chocolate, €3-6.

And wouldn’t be cool to end up with a cocktail? We’re delighted to take the tour further and have a cocktail together in the fancy barrio of Born.
